Jones Fine and Performing Arts Residential College was dedicated in the fall of 1982. Built to house the arts residential college, the structure contains space for art studios, music and theatrical rehearsals, and music practice in addition to residential rooms. It was constructed at a cost of nearly $2.5 million. Jones Residential College was named in honor of the major donors of the funds to construct the building, Wayne V. and Elizabeth R. Jones, both 1923 graduates.
