History
Rebecca Crown Center (1968) features a broad elevated plaza with a 100-foot-tall clock tower surrounded by three buildings containing Northwestern's central administration offices. Designed by Walter Netsch of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, the facility occupies 2.7 acres. Its limestone and reinforced concrete walls are accented by limestone slabs that act as sun visors for the tall, narrow windows. The building was a gift of Robert, Henry, and Lester Crown in honor of their mother.
